Representing the University of Surrey and keen to improve upon his silver place at last years BUCS regatta Aiden lived up to his pre race favourites tag and took gold with a time of 7m 37.75s. Aiden was a cut above the rest of the student athletes at the recent GB trials with his second place in the B Final putting him amongst the fastest Caversham-based scullers. Following this he has been training there alongside the national team and was battle hardened after all the post-trials testing. Josh Lyon of Reading University pushed Aiden hard but ultimately had to settle for second place over two seconds behind Aiden.
