The club is exited to welcome Giedre Rakauskaite this week as our new Head Coach of our Junior Squad.
Giedre will work closely with both Helen (DoR) and our brilliant existing coaches Nicki and AJ. Previously, as Head Coach, Giedre grew the Hereford Cathedral School programme by over doubling the number of athletes and expanding their performance goals by taking several crews to Henley Qualifiers.
Giedre has rowed for over 20 years. She started her journey as a junior in Lithuania before moving to the UK for University. After being talent spotted by the GB Para Team she earned her spot in the prestigious PR3 4+. Giedre has won numerous World Championship Golds and boosts 2 Paralympic Gold medals from Tokyo and Paris. She was also awarded an MBE for her services to rowing. We are thrilled to have Giedre join Twickenham.
